Email throttling for On-premises and office 365 blocking user account

Hey,

Looking for some help surrounding an ongoing issue with MS products and the ability to process electronic invoices and statements out through D365FFO and office 365 via SMTP. We are getting blocked by office due to apparent message rate limits even with the the latest .20 deployment for on-prem. We have that throttling set to 15 whcih is half of the 30 mails per minute rate set by office365.

Microsoft support advise that we use a third party service for this function, which i find somewhat a kick in the teeth considering the two microsoft products we are using are not cheap and its not marketing material, simply invoices and statements.

Can anyone advise of similar issues and work arounds?

I have the same question (0)

This is not D365FO On-Premises specific issue. You may configure email throttling inside system

Hey as previously mentioned i have this setting configured at 15, half of the office365 30 limit.

The office 365 limit is 30,  you set D365 throttling to 15, does it work? Sorry, not sure what's the exact issue here.

No, office365 still blocks the user stipulating breaching send limits. Is there a tie in with the Email distributor batch job by chance for functions such as this for invoice emailing etc?

If this is the case, should be same situation for cloud with same logic. I am wondering if this is Bug.

Did you check if it's addressed in the KB4645876.
