Portal timeline not displaying email content correctly

Instance: Dynamics 365 v 9.1.02.2842

I have configured our portal instance to include email activity in the timeline of a case but it is not displaying correctly. Rather than being aligned in two columns, the email contents is left aligning if their is no other items. Using the element inspector, it doesn't appear to be adding any class to the email activity and on the description element (which is the email contents) it has set the class to 'description clearfix'.

If I replace this with 'col-md-0 col-xs-12' the email activity displays correctly but I am unable to find the source code to update this. 

Is this a bug with the portal or is the HTML accessible somehow?
