How to set field value in a Quick create form based on the lookup field

Posted on by 6
I want to show/hide or set field values in a Quick Create form based on the lookup field calling the Quick Create form.

Want to know ways to open different custom quick create forms from different lookups

Could someone assist me with this, please?
Thanks!

    HI,

On Load of Quick Create based on the Lookup Get the value from the Parent Record using ODATA and you can implement the Logic for Show/Hide or Set value.

Agree with the other 2 replies, this solution requires custom code.

You were **so close** to being able to use Business Rules.... And gosh do I love Business Rules.
If "based on the lookup field calling the Quick Create form" and "Want to know ways to open different custom quick create forms from different lookups" were not part of your requirements, you'd be rocking and rolling with out-of-the-box configuration solutions.

    Hi,
You can achieve this requirement using JS. Please refer to the below details to call quick create form of a table using JS.
You may pass additional parameters based on your lookup values.
