Can you add segments to the 'Account Segment Overrides' screen from the Project Maintenance?

    Hi Deanne,

From within the Project Maintenance window you can click on the blue expansion arrow next to the Sub Acct Format field, and enter the Override Value that you would like to have in place of the segment. You can also specify which Accounts you want to apply the Overfide Value to from the same window.

I hope that helps answer your question.

I have exactly the same issue. Anyone got a thought?

this option only adds accounts to the segments that were used when creating the project.  What I'm looking for is to add a segment.  Only 2 segments were initially selected by the end-user - now they want to add the 3rd segment but we cannot do that.

still hoping to find an answer for this - we need to add another segment - not an account within the segment - only segments 1 and 2 were chosen and now the accountants want to add segment 3

    Hi Deanne-

    Thank you for your post.

Is the Account Format Setup window reflecting as the organization requires? (Administration >> Setup >> Company >> Account Format).

Once this window has the necessary segments/labels you'll notice, the changes did not flow to the Account Segment Overrides window (Project > Cards > Templates > select a Contract Template ID > Project Template ID expansion button > Sub Acct Format expansion button).

In order to get the changes made from the Account Format Setup window to flow to the Account Segment Overrides window in Project is to run PA Check Links on PA Budgeting Cards. (Microsoft Dynamics GP menu > Maintenance > PA Check Links)

The Account Segment Overrides window should now reflect the correct GL Account Segment information.

I hope this works for you as well.

    Please let us know.

Wishing you Healthy and Happy days ahead,
