Good morning,
I am creating a new segment for one of our companies in GP and want to use the mass modify /copy function for this (version gp2018.3) to copy accounts to be used with then new segment, in this case all acounts will end on 03, to indicate they belong to that new segment.
Pretty straightforward it would seem, but I already have a segment 00 and 02, so this one would be 03.
I run into the following issue:
If i select the range to copy from TDF-00000-00 to TDF999-99999-99 i see, when looking at selected range, units 00 and 02 in the accounts list, when i change the mask to 03, and press Modify, I get a warnig that a duplicate account is detetecd and if i want to continue, with options: Yes, Yes to All and No.
I cannot find any account ending in 03 in smartlist, so im suspecting it is because of the choosen range. Aka TDF-00000-00 is copied to TDF-00000-03, after which the next code to be coppied is TDF-00000-02, which is then also copied to TDF-00000-03, which of course causes the error.
Am i correct in my assumption and if so how can i prevent it? Creating each account manually is a long and tedious job, which id like to avoid if i can :-)
