Unable to import Worker position in D365 FO

Hi experts,
 
I am trying to import worker along with their position.
 
So far I am able to import workers in D365 FO but when I am trying to import worker position using data entity I am getting below error:
 
Results. update not allowed for field 'Personnel number(PersonnelNumber)'
Note: Worker already has been created and personal number mapped with them.
 
Below are my worker position import sample data:
 
 
Technical details:
 
I am using /Position worker assignments V2/ data entity for worker position import.
 
Requesting you kindly help.

    Unable to import Worker position in D365 FO
    It's under Human Resource >> Worker.
     
    Navigate to the above form >> On the top right corner you have office icon >> Click on that and select the appropriate entity - Download it - Update the data and publish it.
    But it will have limited fields only.

    I am unable to find direct worker position assignment form for excel upload.

    Instead of DMF have you tried using open in excel functionality by navigating to worker position assignment form?

    Hi,
    This blog mentioned the error you describe, and it explains that the reason for this error is that the “Personnel Number” field is set to Allow Edit No.  you can try to set the allow edit property to yes for Personnel Number.
