ReportReport
Posted on by 477
Hi,
I am using dual currencies, SGD and USD
Would like to check, my functional currency is SGD, my auditor want to to show the stock value report in USD.
Is there a solution for me to show my inventory value report in reporting currency, USD?

    Hi Dexin,

as far as I know the short answer is no: there is no toggle to activate in order to have the inventory value report showing the reporting currency also.
Usual workarounds that I have used is either to export the inventory transactions and apply the daily/monthly (most of the time) reporting rate to each transaction (in Power BI or in Power Excel) or to export the inventory value report and adding a column to calculate the value in reporting currency according to the monthly exchange rate

    Maybe others have better ideas.
    Hope it helps

    Hi

Yes, this is possible in D365.
The Inventory value report can be shown in the reporting currency if your ledger is configured with a reporting currency. Verify Ledger Setup either reporting currency is configured or not.

Go to General ledger > Ledger setup and Confirm:

    Accounting currency = SGD
    Reporting currency = USD

    Regards,
    Rashid Ali

    Hi Rashid Ali,

Yes, we do configured in dual currency.

However, we check the inventory transactions and inventory value report doesn't have the option to show reporting currency.

Can share how can we show the reporting currency in inventory value report

    Hello,

    The answer is: no.
You can inquire about the inventory balance directly from the trial balance. From there, you can see the inventory stock value in both the accounting currency and the reporting currency.

However, this only shows the total on-hand value.
If you need the detailed "Inventory Value Report" (item by item breakdown of the on-hand value), you can only run it in the accounting currency. This makes sense, as this report is intended to support the financial statements as a statutory report.
This report is generated using the accounting currency and the currency layer.

    Thank you,
    Giorgio

    Hi Dexin,

Actually, you can achieve this with the Global Inventory Accounting add-in for Dynamics 365 SCM. This add in can visualize and report your inventory using multiple valuation models and multiple currencies.
