How to setup ECC level for QR Code in Electronic Reporting

Hello,

I am currently using the QRCODE ER function to display a QR code of a string data type on my report and it works fine. However, I have a new requirement to set the ECC level of the QR code to M (Medium) and the version to 9 or above. It seems that the current setup defaults to L (Low). I am using an Excel template which has an image to link the QR code generated. Can anyone assist me with this?

You can refer to this official document: QRCODE ER function - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn, the RCODE ER function is used to generate a QR code image in binary format for the specified string. However, Microsoft's documentation does not explicitly mention the default ECC level. To implement your requirements, you may need to customize the QR code generation process. One way to do this is to use a QR code generation library that allows you to specify the ECC level. This blog introduces a library that allows you to specify the ECC level: Add a QR code to Dynamics 365 forms and reports - ariste.info.
