I have been running email campaigns for couple of months now. I see email delivered but 90% of the emails are unopened.
Do you see similar results? Has anything worked for your email campaigns to increase the email open rate?

The most common cause could be your emails are landing on spam folder of the contacts. Please rectify the campaign list and try.
I've done a lot of work with a different marketer, but similar enough to D365 marketing. Their open rate is not high either (10-20%) - they have started doing A/B testing: docs.microsoft.com/.../email-a-b-testing
IE: different days, times, subjects, etc. to see which does best. Also they are cleaning up their contacts to avoid sending to those who do not open for awhile.
