Deleting new business process flow broke customization export and app customization window

Posted on by 35

Hi team,

I created a new business process flow, checked it in my customizations widow -> app ->Customer Service Hub(Power App display) , saved and published customizations. The new business process flow appeared in my Customer Service Hub as expected.

However, I tried to removed the new business process flow by unchecking the flow in the customization window for Customer Service Hub (Power App display) , saved and published changes. Then deactivating the process and deleting it in the customization window and published changes.  This appears to be causing a problem with my export and the display of Customer Service Hub (power app display dies) in the customization window as well.  How can I fix the missing object issue without resetting the whole instance?

Being more precise, it is not the application that causes the problem.

If you deleted APP from the environment, but you left this app sitemap, then you will spend a lot of time (just like me) trying to export solution.

    Summing up, redesigned checklist:

1- BPF: Please be sure that no BPF is related with a deleted security role.
2- App Sitemaps: You can check in Client Extensions that you have a Sitemap that has no App

Ravi`s workaround works like a charm. If you have any "Unexpected Error" during solution export; it is better to check two matter.

1- BPF: Please be sure that no BPF is related with a deleted security role.
2- Apps: You can check in Client Extensions that you have an App which may cause an error.

It is so certain that there are some issues with App export.

    Cheers, Seren.

    Hi,

I was also facing issue exporting solution and getting the below error. Removign the app from the solution fix the issue. I know its not a solution but there definitely some issue with Apps and export solution.

"Microsoft.Crm.CrmException: An unexpected error occurred. ---> System.InvalidOperationException: The specified node cannot be inserted as the valid child of this node, because the specified node is the wrong type."

    Hope this helps.

Thank you yes I tried Publish All Customizations and it still is unable to export or display the Customer Service Hub app from the Settings ->Customizations -> Customize the system window.  I will try support and report the answer back.

Go to Default solution by clicking - Settings -> Customizations -> Customize the system - Publish All customizations, this may solve problems sometimes.

Do you have backup of that BPF in a solution anywhere, like in another instance or backup solution? You can reimport that & find any try again removing or identifying dependency issues.

If nothing works, contact MS support they can assist you.
