Import Product images from external API

Hi,
 
I want to import product images to F&O from external api which will send bulk images. 
I am not sure if we can do this through DMF (since its an api and not a file)or is there any other way to approach this integration.

    DMF has web services too, therefore you can actually import files through an API. This is no contradiction. A file is just a bunch of data that you can send over network if needed and web services are a way how to do it.
     
    When you say "in bulk", a data management API is often the answer.

    Hi Martin,
     
    I am actually getting a json file which I can consume through custom services . It has image url that needs to be set on products form for the corresponding item. This is a json file that has a single new item and details along with image url. I am not sure how to get the image from this url and upload on the Products form.

    Yes Martin. I created new thread as the requirement was different from the one I posted here slightly.
    Please suggest your thoughts on the new thread or this one  :)
