update of financial dimensions

Hi all,

is it possible in D365FO to change the financial dimension value after posting the accounting entries ?

I know that there is a possibility to allocate the dimensions with allocation journals but I want to knew if there is a possibility to modify a financial dimension value in the same accounting entry.

You should be able to edit the financial dimensions in a transaction line before the journal is posted, unless it's been submittted to workflow. How do allocations relate to your question?

Hello Frank,

my question is about the possibilty to update the financial dimension after the journal is posted.

Allocations are a way to do that but my customer didn't want a correction in an other journal.

Hi,

You can not update dimension after posting.

If there is this kind of a need, you may discuss to use financial tags.

Billur is correct. 99% of the time, editing posting transactions is not possible.
