Trigger multiple confirmation emails for people who register multiple times for an event

I recently ran an event with multiple sessions. 
 
In the customer journey I set it to send a confirmation email with calendar invites for all the registered sessions to a segment where contact registered for event
 
The issue was that some people would register once. Then the next day they would sign up for a different session linked to the same event. This would not trigger a second confirmation email with the additional calendar details because they already belonged to the segment.
 
Does anyone have a clever way to overcome this?
