Hi,
Is there any official document by Microsoft on steps to upgrade from GP 2013 to GP 2015?
You can start with this upgrade path document.

If you are do to performing upgrades I would check with your GP partner. Why stop at GP 2015? That is not supported anymore.
Actually, we wanted to make a transition to Business Central from GP2013. But found that, we couldn`t directly move from GP 2013 to Business Central, needs to upgrade to GP2015 first .
Thanks for sharing the blog Richard, but isn`t there some official document released by Microsoft?
They used to include the upgrade guide as part of the install media. Check your folders to see if you can find it. The upgrade steps have not changed in decades. The biggest issues are the version of SQL and the versions of GP. Hopefully you have a test environment.

This is pretty much the Dynamics GP upgrade guide that was/is in the Documents folder when you install Dynamics GP.
Newer upgrade information and known issues are documented in the Dynamics GP blogs, which I'd highly recommend watching as well.
