Can you integrate Microsoft Project with D365 Finance & Operations? If so, what is the product and version requirement (if any)?
I had asked ChatGPT and was told the below, but when I asked for a link for Microsoft documentation all links did not work so would like to validate if this is true or not. And if so, where documentation can be found.
"Yes, it is possible to connect Microsoft Project with D365 Finance & Operations if the product version is 10.0.29 and the platform version is Platform Update 53.
According to the Microsoft documentation, Microsoft Project can be integrated with D365 Finance & Operations if you have a product version of 8.0 or higher and a platform version of PU11 or higher. Since your product version is 10.0.29, which is higher than 8.0, and your platform version is PU53, which is higher than PU11, you meet the minimum requirements for integration between Microsoft Project and D365 Finance & Operations.
However, it's important to note that Microsoft may update their requirements for integration between these two systems, so it's always a good idea to check the latest documentation from Microsoft to ensure that you are meeting the latest compatibility requirements."
Thank you in advance!!
Hi Lieberman,
There is a supported integration. You can read about the setup process and supported features on Microsoft Learn. Microsoft Project client integration | Microsoft Learn
Frankly speaking, I am not aware if any update had been made on this.
Andre Arnaud de Calavon , please advice if possible.
Thank you so much for such a quick reply! Do you know if there is an update to this? As background the current product version I have is 10.0.29 so I worry this information may be outdated
