VS Menu items "Build models" "Synchronize database" disabled

Hello,

When trying to get to grips with the development environment, I am trying to add a field to an existing table. I can add the field to my table extension, and add the field to the group. The project builds.

The next step in the tutorials is to synchronize with the DB. The item for this is disabled in both the Dynamics 365 menu and in the context menu for the project.

Does anyone have any advice?

Restarting VS and/or Close/Reopen Solution has worked for me in this situation.

Hello,

The VS is running as Admin. The build was complete and successful.

Maybe it has something to do with the connection to the database. Where is that defined?

Hi Anders,

Make sure you have started Visual Studio in administrator elevated mode (run as administrator). Are you sure the build was complete? Or was it still running?
