For info referencing crm11 v. 9.1.0000.4232 (April 2019 updates enabled), but imagine same across current environments.
- On Classic forms in a ‘related grid’, you can select child records and from the grid’s toolbar click a toolbar button to run an on-demand workflow against the selected records.
- On UCI (Unified Interface) forms in a related grid, there is no button in the toolbar to run a Flow/workflow against the selected child records.
I've looked at the same record through the same form, in default app and then UCI app (and also checked other instances same version): the button in the related grid toolbar on UCI is simply not there.
We run a lot of workflows on (selected) related child records, by accessing the related records grid of a parent record. Can't think of a workaround, short of going to Advanced Find and each time adding the criteria of a look-up to filter down to the desired parent... (Not an acceptable equivalent!)
Can this loss of funcionality be intentional/ permanent by Microsoft?
