Unable to receive partial quantity Transfer order error

Hi All,

While doing transfer order unable to receive partial quantity, full quantity receive we can do easily. Attaching below error screenshot to understand the error.

Error :
Transfer order - ReceiptTransfer number: TON240002109 Line number: 1.00 Cannot receive quantity 5.00 because inventory transactions with status Ordered, Arrived or Registered are insufficient.

You can check out this official document: Purchase order line data discrepancies - Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management | Microsoft Learn, this issue is usually caused by data corruption or a discrepancy in the remainder quantities for one or more purchase order lines. You can fix the problem according to the officially recommended steps:

Hi,

Looks like you do not have suffcient inventory for this product. Also, can you check if you are using registration process for this?

Hi Community user,

I'm able to do partial receipts in my environment. It can be the case that the related inventory transactions are corrupt. Can you go to the lines and check the Inventory transactions for the lines you want to receive?

Hi Andre thanks for your response, when we are receiving full shipped quantity then system is not showing any error, So I think transactions are fine.

Hi Community user,

Don't just assume it is fine. I have seen similar issues in the past. Mainly it was caused by wrong import of transactional data. In case you select all, are you sure you get the full quantity or the possible wrong quantity on the inventory transaction? Do you have customizations in this area that can influence the standard behavior?
