Import LedgerTrans to GeneralJournalAccountEntry

Hi,

we are trying to import Ledger Transactions via Data Management in Dynamics 365 for Operations by using the General Journal Account Entry Entity. However there is a general problem with importing new lines with excel templates. Even when we export lines from D365FO and import them back with slight changes, the lines are transferred to the staging tables, but then the following error appears:

"The property DimensionLegalEntityContextField on the field: Account, or the property PrimaryCompanyContext on the data entity must be set."

Can anyone help with this?

You should not import transactions. If you need historical transactions from 2012 or 2009 then you need to go though data upgrade, otherwise just bring initial balances thought journals and post them. For data integration you have to create source document like journal, PO or SO and post it, never try to create transaction directly, it won't work!

I'd be surprised if you're actually able to import records directly into GJAE. Wouldn't it be a better idea to import the transactions into a general journal and then post them?
