Mass edit of opportunity owner somehow affected notes?!?

Hello,

I was assigned with the task to find a bunch of opportunities owned by a particular user and then change the owner to another user.

Said and done, I did an advanced find and used the "mass edit function" within the advanced find window.

Now, one side effect of  this was that now, on each opportunity that was updated, each note says that I am the last person who edited them...

So, maybe not a "show stopper" but a bit annoying and confusing for the users.

Can this be remedied somehow? Is it normal behaviour that notes do this? I can't say  that I've noticed it before...

    Hi Toby,

This is due to the cascading behavior of the relationship between Opportunity and Note.

You can change the type of behavior to Configurable Cascading and change the setting for Assign.
