Hi all,

I have been required to hide a menu item from the user from the module menu to the navigation search and url. Currently I managed to hide it from module menu but the user still able to find it from navigation search and url.

Is there a way to hide it from navigation search and url?

Isn't the right approach simply not giving the user permissions to use the menu item(s)? Why do you want just hide the navigation and not removing the permissions?

    Hi,

I do assume you used X++ coding for hiding the menu item? If so, the search option and URL manipulation is not restricted as the user, according to the security configuration has permissions to open and use it.
In case the user should not be able to open specific form in any possible way, you need to exclude the menu item from the permissions via security configuration or customization.

Hi André Arnaud de Calavon and Martin Dráb,

This is my full context of my requirement. Currently we have been required to customize the standard customer account statement. After that, we have created a menu item (the highlighted one) for that customized report and put it to the menu.

Now our user requested us to hide the standard customer account statement report because some of the other users keep accidentally click the standard one instead of the customize one. Currently we have managed to hide in menu but it still visible in the navigation search.

You may want to try to configure the security by finding the privileges > find the report > Output menu items > set as Deny.

I apologize that I'm unable to test this for you, as I currently don't have access to a suitable environment.

You may want to consult your technical advisor to determine the specific privileges associated with the standard report you wish to hide.
