AP Aging/Trial Balance

Posted on by 45

Hello,

Can someone advise the difference from the historical aged trial balance and the trial balance with options (same parameters and running with the same dates)?  The reason for the question is that when I run the historical aged TB it ties to the GL, but the TB with options does not.  Also, there are items that are on the historical aged trial balance (variances between the two reports) that when I try to look them up under inquiry and select open they do not show up.

Item below is just snip of a transaction that is on the historical aged TB, but not on the TB with options.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Jennifer

I usually view it in SQL or if you can, view it in Smartlist.. check the invoice column 'Date invoice paid off'

    Thank you very much,

Is there a quick way to find out the apply dates?  The item in the snip was a payment processed that is still considered open.

    Thanks again,

    Jennifer

The HATB considers the apply dates of your documents. If you dated it to age as of , say January 1, and the apply happened January 2, the docs in there will appear still open or unapplied even though at the time of the printing of the report, the docs are already fully applied.

Whereas the ATB will disregard the apply dates.. it will always show a document as applied regardless of the age as of date.
