Can we use a single routing on manufacturing orders for different items rather than creating a new routing for every item manufactured?
Hello CSS,
Routing must be setup for each item.
The good news is that you can ‘copy’ routing sequences or entire routings from one item/routing to another. I’m attaching our Manufacturing Production Functions manual to this thread. Chapters 1-5 talk about routings, and copying routings is covered in chapter 4.
Some people import routing data directly into the RT010001 table. I’ve also attached the SDK document for the RT010001 table in case you decide to go that route.
I hope this helps!
