Upgrade Microsoft GP from 2015 R2 to 2018 R2

Hi our firm is planning to move to Business Central, so in order to do so we first need to upgrade our 2015R2 version of GP to 2018 R2 (we can use a data migration tool while updating to BC)

I have been researching this upgrade a lot, but couldn't find the Upgrade Guide, on the Microsoft site I could find Upgrade documentation for GP 2015 R2.

It would be great if anyone can provide me with the GUide or any other helpful resources to make our transition smooth.

Any help is great and appreciated.

    I believe you're referring to the new lifecycle where it was put out that you shouldn't be on a version older than a year behind the most recent update?

    In your case, since you are on Dynamics GP 2015 R2, I'd refer to the upgrade hot topic I mentioned, to get upgraded to a 18.0 version, then at that point you can look at upgrading to whatever 18.x version you're wanting to get upgraded to, if not the most recent, 18.5 / Oct 2022 release.

    Thank You so much, I really appreciate your help. I have one more question during my research I found that upgrade paths" need to be based on the same tax release schedule"

    Our current version of GP is 14.00.0983 which is the Mid-Year Tax update version, with a release date of 23rd June 2016. I am just confused about which version of 2018 R2 would be compatible. Any help would be appreciated. Thank YOu
