role-based limited access to specific general ledger accounts

Has anyone implemented a solution to restrict view access to specific general ledger accounts in Dynamics 365?

We need to ensure that certain accounts are only visible to authorized users. Any advice or best practices would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

Depending on your scenario/need, you may also need to restrict the journals by name, so that they are only visible to certain user groups. In this case, you can, for example, make entries that are only visible to the desired users.

To do this, access the journal names and use the Blocking field and define the user group. In addition, you can also define more controls in the buttons: Journal control and Posting restrictions. (General Ledger/ Journal Setup/ Journal Names).

Hi Sven,

Can you tell us under what conditions ledger accounts are visible or not? What exact forms are you referring to? E.g. main accounts list page, journals, transactions, or also e.g. posting setup forms?
