Dear Guru's,
When we post multiple images in a LinkedIn post (sadly Instagram posting does not even allow multiple images), it seems we are unable to control the order the images are shown on linkedIn.
We tried uploading in sequence and naming the files alphabetically, but still they show differently. it seems D365 has its own mind about this.
Is there any way we can control the sequence?
To be clear, I am talking about the order the pictures are shown in the actual linkedin post at linkedin.com, not how the images are sorted in the d365 media library.
Hi Jurgen, this is unfortunately defined by the APIs of the social networks. Both Facebook and Instagram APIs are using so called LIFO stack (last in, first out), which means that the image that was last modified will be displayed first on the social network. So in our example, the last image uploaded to the D365 Marketing library or last image edited in the library will be posted first.
PM, D365 Marketing
Hi Leco,
are those screenshots from you linkedin post? It looks like they are from the media library inside D365 marketing.
I am talking about the order the pictures are shown in the actual post on linkedin.com, not the D365 media library.
I have altered my orignal question to remove any ambiguity on this.
Hi partner,
I tried naming my images based on the criteria of sorting, but didn't find any regularity after uploading, which I think might be random. This may not have been considered at the beginning of the design, and I also tried to look up various sources, but found nothing. I think there may not be a way to sort currently, you can post your suggestions on Microsoft” Ideas”.
