Activities in Customer Service and Finance & Operations

Hi all,

In our current project, we're looking into a mapping between activities in Customer Service and activities in Finance & Operations.

One of the issues that are encountered, is where the description field on the Customer Service side is plain text, while on the Finance & Operations the notes field is HTML. If changes are done to the text in Finance & Operations, then this will cause HTML tags on the Customer Service description, which we want to avoid from a user's perspective.

Has anyone encountered this same challenge?

Are there possibilities to work around this (except for example typing just 1 line of text without enters)?

As an example, I've seen that on the data type "multiple lines of text", HTML can be enabled. This is for example done in Knowledge Articles on the Content attribute. How can this be done?

Best regards,

Neal

One possibility could be to map the F&O activities to emails in Customer Service. In Customer Service, the description of the email activity is rendered as HTML, so this should display as you want
