Insufficient Memory error when trying to email RM statements

Hi everyone. Forgive my lack of knowledge on the subject and GP in general, but here goes:

Our org is suddenly entirely unable to email RM Statements. Our finance staff first noticed the problem on October 7th while trying to send out our Sept statment of accounts to customers.

We typically do this through Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Routines > Sales > Statements.
PRINTING the statements to file or to screen works fine.

I have followed all the suggestions in the email troubleshooting guide and in this post that pertain to 'insufficient memory' (ie querying the tables for replyto addresses / special characters) but I have my doubts that this would be the issue. This email configuration has been running smoothly for years and has not been touched. The statments worked in September.

We're in a hybrid exchange environment. The timing is suspicious with the disabling of basic auth accross our tenant, but I cannot identify exactly what is going on. We are currently on version 18.4.1384, and since upgrading to this version, Our INVOICE emailing works properly via modern auth. It's just a the statements that are an issue.

Due to the volume of statements we need to issue, printing and sending them individually is not an option. Any help or direction is greatly appreciated.

    Hey Peter,

I think what you are running into is a Product Issue on the version you are on.

Even with MFA turned on, if you have a Message ID or Reply to address set, it will give the Insufficient error. This is Product Issue 93769.

This is fixed in the 18.4 release.

What I would suggest to help verify this, is to remove the Message ID and Reply to address from all setups and all customer as the article below states. Once removed test the emailing of statements.

Dynamics GP Email Troubleshooting Guide - Dynamics GP | Microsoft Learn

If that works, you will need to upgrade to GL 18.4 or later to be able to email statements with a Message ID and Reply to addresses.

If it does not work, I would suggest a support case as there are multiple things that can cause this.

    Thank you!

    Brandon,

We upgraded from 18.4.1384 to 18.4.1461 that you linked, and that worked like a charm.

I'm just disappointed in myself, that after two days of googling and scouring on here I didn't find my way to that mid-year update post on my own.

    I appreciate your help.

    Peter
