AX2012 Cumulative Update

Guys,

Sorry to ask here. 

I am not familiar with this Cumulative Update, seeking help for you guys

I have a client was using AX2012 6.0.1108.2423, mean the AX2012 first version.

I wanna to ask, if there a new release will it be auto update? Or client have to update themselves?

Client was asking, why they are not in CU7? Can they do the update now for event the latest version?

    There won't be any auto updates for AX 2012. All the updates will need to be installed by the client or by the supporting partner.

    If your client is on RTM, they will need to upgrade to the required version. The latest version is AX 2012 R3, which will need a good deal of upgrade tasks, depending on the amount of customization in place. You can check this link for more details -
