How do we assign entities to users within security groups

Hi All,

Does anyone know or have worked on with Security Groups Permissions restricting users to companies. I have gone through different articles and threads on the dynamics Forum but was unable to find a solution.

The issue is, we have 5 different companies in the environment and we want to reduce user access different companies but we cannot do that because the moment we assign a company with the permission, then all users see that company only but what we want to do it that we want to assign users to different companies within that security group. Is there a way to get this working?

 For example:
1 Production Environment
4 companies (A,B,C,D)
100 users
I want to assign 20 users to company A, 30 to company B, 40 to Company C and 10 to company D. These users should have access to their respective companies only. Now using the security group if I assign a company within that security, all users will have access to that company only.

I have the same question (0)

Try to check this article, I don't think we have the information you are looking for but seems like you might have to create different security groups for each company and assign those to individuals.

Hi, Is there anything wrong with setting up the company in the permission set? This is the correct way to do it.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hi, good day
I hope this can help you, and give you some hints.

Solved: Limit user access on a particular company

    Best Regards
    Gerardo

On User card page you can control the user access for companies.

    Hi all,

    Thank you for your responses.

The way to move forward for us was by creating additional security groups for each entity and then assign the users to those security groups.

I hope this helps others with the same issue.

    Regards,
