Warehouse management Error while Sales order released to warehouse

i just find out one error while i release my sales order to warehouse:

"You can't create a load line for this order line because it contains inventory dimensions that are invalid. You can't reference inventory dimensions that are located below the location dimension in the reservation hierarchy. Remove the invalid dimensions from the order line."

may I ask how did you do to solve the issue, I got the same error msg in D365.

You can’t create a load line for this order line because it contains inventory dimensions that are invalid. You can’t reference inventory dimensions that are located below the location dimension in the reservation hierarchy. Remove the invalid dimensions from the order line.

Hi Lillian Li,

In Dynamics 365 item on the sales order line has a setup for reservation hierarchy in such a way that all dimensions below location will be determined by warehouse management module and should not be entered manually on the sales order line if you want to use advance warehouse management.

Kindly share the screenshot of the item reservation hierarchy and the sales order lines details sections for the product tab.

Normal case as an example which works fine is below

Item reservation hierarchy

As you can see you should only specify site, warehouse and inventory status on the sales order lines as marked in green.

All dimension below location should be blank on sales order line.

So in this example I would make sure that location, license plate, batch number and serial numbers are blank before clicking release to warehouse,

This solution has not worked to fix my problem. I have no dimensions specified on the sales order line that are below "location" in the reservation hierarchy, yet I still get this error message. It is also followed by "Cannot insert a record in table 'Load details' due to write validation."

Are there any other possible solutions?

Check inventory transactions if the location field is empty. You may not see all the dimensions on the sale order line.
