I have a custom table that a user accidently deleted some records from.  Is it possible to restore/recover those records?

    Restore Deleted Records
    Hi,
Accidental deletion of records from a custom table in Dataverse or Dynamics 365 is, unfortunately, a common scenario many admins face.
While Microsoft’s native tools offer an Audit History for tracking changes and deletions, they do not provide an out-of-the-box “restore” functionality to recover deleted data — especially for custom tables. Once records are deleted, retrieving them without a backup or third-party tool becomes a manual and time-consuming process.
To address this limitation, you can consider using third party tool Undo2Restore by Inogic. Undo2Restore is purpose-built to help Dynamics 365 CRM and Dataverse users undo changes and recover accidentally deleted records, including records in custom tables. It essentially acts as a safety net where native Dataverse functionality falls short.
Here’s how Undo2Restore can specifically resolve the issue you described:
    • Restore Deleted Records: Instantly recover deleted records from custom or standard tables, ensuring you can reverse accidental deletions without the need for complex backups or coding.
    • Undo Recent Changes: Roll back unwanted updates or modifications made to records.
    • Undo Bulk Changes in Dynamics 365 CRM: Effortlessly reverse accidental bulk data modifications — such as those from imports — to restore multiple records to their previous state with a single click
    • Point-in-Time Restore: Revert records to their exact state at a previous time, maintaining data accuracy.
    • Selective Record Recovery: Restore only the records you need, rather than restoring entire datasets.
    • User-Friendly Interface: Makes restoring data quick and easy, even for non-technical users.
    • Audit and History Tracking: Keeps track of changes and deletions so you can always review what happened before restoring.
If record recovery and data protection are important to your business use case, especially in multi-user environments and custom Dataverse tables, Undo2Restore can serve as a reliable and robust solution to recover accidentally deleted CRM records.
Hope this helps you restore your accidentally deleted Dynamics 365 CRM data!

    Thanks,
    Sam

    Restore Deleted Records
    Hi,

You cannot restore deleted records in Dynamics 365.

But, if you have auditing enabled on your entity, then you can follow below blog to recover deleted records.

    Hey!

As stated by Leah, you can try using a third party tool, and if you have auditing enabled, recover the missing records.

If the deletion is within the last 7 days, you can try restoring your environment to another (sandbox/UAT for example). And from there another possibilities are:
    - Generate the records again, based on the information that is available on the copied environment.
    - Use Excel to export the records you're missing, and then import them into the right environment
    - If they're just a few records (less than 100) use Configuration Migration tool to migrate the records from one environment to another.

    Hi Partner,
There are no OOB ways to restore deleted records.
but with the help of XRM Toolbox, it’s easy to recover the record through 'Recycle Bin' tool.
--The most important thing: the audit feature must already be enabled!
