The total quantity for production BOM 1LT00418380 could not be fulfilled.

Hi,

I have created and release the production order. I checked that item on the BOM has enough on-hand available physical. 

But when i released the production order it generates the message "The total quantity for production BOM 1LT00418380 could not be fulfilled." 

In this scenario, reservation hierarchy has been override and changed to manual picking. So, when we release the production order, it will not generate the work. 

Please advise why i am getting the message that the total qty for  production BOM could not be fulfilled?

    After the order is created explode the production order and check the tab “Critical on-hand inventory” to see  what is not covered with “on-hand”.

    It should all materials and when there is no quantity in the column “on-hand settled” you will  know for which items the system thinks you  have a shortage.

    Then you can investigate the specific items to understand why - maybe blocked, wrong Site/WH, marked, expired batch etc.
