Electronic Reporting - Transition from LCS to RCS.

Hi All,

With the deprecation of LCS storage for Electronic Reporting, we will need to transition to RCS to store ER configurations.

Setting up the provider with RCS details seems simple enough and there are no issues.

I have been trying to look at the documentation provided but I have not been able to understand how we transition the ER configurations, that are saved in LCS, to RCS.

Could anyone help me with this transitions of ER configurations from LCS to RCS.

Thank you

    Hi Filldavid

Can you elaborate more about your purpose?

Please check following post on Microsoft docs:

    Hi Alireza

Basically all our Electronic Report Configurations are being saved on the LCS Asset library -> GER Configurations. From what I understand, this is going to be deprecated and our business will need to move them to RCS.

However we are not completely sure how this is done.

I did have another look at the documentation provided in regards to this transition and I believe I understood the process, so if you could confirm it to me or correct me I would greatly appreciate.

1- We need to create a Configuration provider on our RCS environment with the LCS repository.

2- We then use the process to import from LCS to retrieve the ER Configurations.

3- Now the ER configurations will be importing into the RCS environment where they will be saved.

I've been struggling with similar aspects.  Would love to see a good explainer video on YouTube, but as of 2023 December, I can't find anything.

Where I diagrammed and listed what I felt was one common work method, I'm hoping more experienced people comment on that post.

    Hi Filipe,
I think that ref. to following blog post from Micorsoft Learn, you may import directly all config from LCS to RCS. I mean, you understanding is correct ref. to this blog.
