While designing a balance sheet under row definition, i am unable to pull net income from another row definition (P&L) to the balance sheet. I am using structure function under setup to link this but gets an error message about link to another row definition when run a balance sheet report after completing this design.

My FRx is rusty, but I do remember using the range of our Income statement (in our case, all Natural accounts 4000 - 9999) to provide net income.
As I remember, you can't call another row definition within row definition (nor a column within column definition). I think there was a third definition; tree definition, I think? That did allow you to call multiple row definitions - that might be another option to consider.
