How can I transfer one item with control batch number and no batch number ?

Hi All,

I got item CASOWO-00001 storage dimension is SWL (site , warehouse , Location ) and Batch None - the quality in stock is 12.

after that I change CASOWO-00001 storage dimension is SWL and Batch - Yes . so that when I do a item arrival I need enter batch number for item CASOWO-00001. You can see it on my picture below :

when I do a transfer from one warehouse to another warehouse. The system request enter batch number for item CASOWO-00001.

How can I make a transfer with item CASOWO-00001 with batch and without batch.

example transfer 123 for item CASOWO-00001 with no batch x 12

transfer 124 item CASOWO-00001 with batch x 89

Can you post your setup for the batch dimension and how did you change the dimension. Released product doesn't allow dimension update if there is on-hand inventory of previous dimensions.

"The new dimension group cannot be assigned. The physical inventory has not reached zero on-hand, while 'Activate closing of non-financial transfers' is set to Yes."

I change storage dimension group on Product so that It apply to release product

First you had tracking dimension group as None, later you added Batch. Correct?

Can you also send screenshot of Batch dimension group, will try to compare it. Once i had on-hand inventory, not able to update the dimension.

Hi Satish,

You are correct - First tracking dimension group as None, later I added Batch.

You can see on release product

you can see on warehouse

But When I do a transfer I see the system combine the quantity Batch and Non-batch together . The total quantity in warehouse is 89+12=101

Hi Pham,

Need detail of batch group (view details form screenshot for Batch).

I don't see combined quantities, till u have batch enabled under inventory dimensions, quantities won't be combined.

Did u create transfer journal line manually?

the check box that you see next to view available "range inventory dimensions" will help filter the warehouse based on inventory dimensions entered on the transfer order line. Try that and it will work. Also if you question has been verified, please mark the answer as verified.

The check box that you see next to view available "range inventory dimensions" will help filter the On-hand based on inventory dimensions entered on the transfer order line. Try that and it will work. Also if you question has been verified, please mark the answer as verified.

*Correction.. changed "warehouse" with "On-hand" in current response.

I already click range inventory dimensions But the system still one row.If it is correct. It must show 2 rows

Take a look at attached picture.. reason you see total is because you haven't selected the batch number yet.

I was able to get the tracking dimension to change.. with a trick (from product master and not from released product).
