Open registration in Employee Self Service Portal

Hi,

I have configured Employee Self Service Portal with Dynamics 365 (trial). By default, User (Pre created in AD) is able to login with AD authentication only and no registration process.

I am not able to find/configure any open Registration, so that anyone can register and access portal. 

Is 'Registration' process is disabled in ESS by design or some additional configuration required to make open registration work with ESS portal.
