I have a number of search topics and other select twitter, facebook, and Instagram accounts that are not collecting posts despite posts being shown on the social feeds. The search topics are standard configs with no modifications.
Has anyone come across this or does anyone know a way to troubleshoot search topics or explain why no posts are showing.
This should definitely not happen.
I wonder if your social profiles are healthy?
For MSE to acquire social media posts you must add social profiles under Settings -> Social Profiles. You can go to that page and click "Check Tokens". If any of your tokens are expired then acquisition might have stopped.
Can you attach a screenshot of your Search Topic and a screenshot of your Social Profiles page?

Which types of search rules have you set up under your search topics?
Here is a list of things to check:
- For Facebook, check that you have a Social Profile of type User added in Settings -> Social Profiles. This user should have a valid token under the ALLOW DATA ACQUISITION section. Additionally, the checkbox for Use for Search Acquisition should be checked.
- For rules which acquire private messages, you need to have the account for which search rule is set configured in your Social Profiles page in Settings.
Similar to the previous point, the checkbox under Acquisition for Private Messages should be checked.
Stay up to date on forum activity by subscribing. You can also customize your in-app and email Notification settings across all subscriptions.
