Why do we need Office 365 for Dynamics 365 online?
Or Can we have Dynamics 365 online without Office 365 subscription, if no why and if yes why?

I have purchased monthly subscription of Dynamics 365 - Customer Engagement aka Plan 1, When the reseller sent me the link it was already for Office 365, Looks like its not possible to have D365 without Office 365, Looks to me Microsoft internally creates the Office 365 account for you which makes sense because of global administrators.

That is understood and too easy answer, i am looking for "why" not "what" can be done with Office 365 and Dynamics 365 online.

Office 365 Subscription is not necessary unless you want full Office 365 feature integration with Dynamics 365 (online) and Dynamics 365 (on-premises).

For example , you could only use the following linkage to create a new 30 day D365 CE Trial run subscription with your custom domain name without any other subscription.

Office 365 is required when using Dynamics 365 (online). This is necessary as Dynamics 365 (online) utilises Office 365 features to allow administrators to add users to Dynamics 365 (online), and manage their passwords and licenses.
Stay up to date on forum activity by subscribing. You can also customize your in-app and email Notification settings across all subscriptions.
