Hi All,
One of our customers wants to have 2 custom business process flows for an opportunity. Each BPF will have 4 discreet stages or phases (8 phases total). There is no overlap with the phases. The names of the phases are mutually exclusive and different from the native "Qualify, Develop, etc.".
When I have created or modified BPF's in the past, I've changed the options in the Stage Category global option set, and then these values magically appear in the Pipeline Phase. A number prepends the option set value that indicates the order of the phases (i.e. "1-Qualify" or "2-Develop").
Here's the problem... If I put all 8 of the custom values in the Stage Category global option set (4 for one BPF and 4 for the other), only half of the values will appear with the correct number. For the second BPF, the values will show "5-stage", "6-stage", etc., but these are actually the first stages in that BPF.
Are there different ways to display the stage labels in fields, particularly in views? Besides the built-in Stage Category?
Many thanks for any guidance you can provide. I love this forum. You guys are great!
Hi,
pipeline phase numbering is follow the sequence in the optionset, it is not about which stage they are.
if you want to maintain the number yourself, create workflow or plugin to achieve that.

Hi,
One suggestion is to have only 4 stages. Combine the stages for the 2 different BPF paths
For example - Stage-1 for BPF-1 and BPF-2 can be Qualify / Verify. Similarly combine the stages for Stage-2,3 & 4.
Hope this helps.
