Restore backup per modules on dynamics 365 instead of complete instance backup.

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

As far as i know Dynamics 365 only allows to do a complete manual backup for each instance only, but im very interested in keep a backup of one of my modules located in my main instance, is there any way to do this?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Luis,

    This is a third-part company.

We can not sure if the features it describes is available and if the "granular items" means per modules.

If you want to use their services, we  will not able to guarantee the security of your data.

I am sorry that Microsoft  has no idea to  launch  this  program currently.

    Best Regards

I found a company that claims to be able to make partial backup restores instead of complete ones, how is it possible that Microsoft does not allow this and an external company does? I would love to know if Microsoft plans to change this in a near future.

    Thanks!

    Hi Luis,

As far as we know, we could choose the instance to backup instead of each module.

I'm sorry that we could only backup the entire instance.

Here is the Microsoft Docs about Backup instance.

    Hope it helps.
