Hello,

While trying to change a parent business unit of a business unit it is throwing an SQL query exception without showing the SQL error code details.

Could you please advise how can we change it and resolve the issue?

Best regards,

    Hi EBMRay

I would suggest you create one ticket for Microsoft Support Team, Tthey may have measures in place to alleviate your problem in the background.

    Hello Leah Ju ,

Only the current record shows this error. As for the others, it works very fine, and even If I created a new BU with the same parent business unit it works perfectly.

I have different accounts associated with this BU and it seems the update statement is large and requires more than 30 seconds.

What will be the workaround to increase the timeout or resolve that issue?

Below also some screenshots from the network trace:

    Awaiting your response.

    Best regards,

    EBMRay

    Hi EBMRay,

Only current record show the error? Or it appear in all records? If you change to another parent business unit, same error?

Generally, this may be due to a SQL Server timeout.

When you change a parent business unit, it triggers a number of SQL UPDATE statements that have to be processed in many tables in the CRM database. The problem comes in when these tables are very large, which causes the UPDATE commands to timeout and throw the error.  By default, the timeout values are at 30 seconds.

Because I can't view your backend data, I suggest you create a support ticket for professional assistance following the below procedure.
