Microsoft Dynamics Marketing E-Mail Insights not correct. Wrong Stats.

Hello community,

we encountered a problem within the Dynamics 365 Marketing App. In specific within the insights of the E-Mail Campaigns.

The Problem is the following:

We send an E-Mail Campaign over the customer journeys to a specific segment. Within the E-Mail are specific links so we can track if the customer is interested or not. After the sendout the E-Mail insights normally show the following:

The E-Mail was send(green box) then opened(blue box) and then clicked(purple box).

That’s where the problem starts.

In the past we see more and more that the opening rates and click rates are not correct.

We have several customers which for example didn’t open an E-Mail but have clicked on a link within the E-Mail.

Also it appears that they clicked on all the links within the E-Mail at the same time.

In the following you can see that the E-Mail was send at 14:50 (green box) and then clicked on several links at 14:51(purple box) but not opened.

Also you can see in the linktracking that the interaction happened at the same time. In some cases it where over 10 different links at once.

This seems to happen mostly with customers which have a company address or companies which have a firewall.

Overall 2/3 of the registered clicks are clicks like this.

We created a testsegment with our company emailadresses and tested it but in that case everything worked well.

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hi,

Here is a similar issue, but the feedbacker did not reply further.

(+) Hard bounce but clicked - Dynamics 365 Marketing Forum Community Forum

In case the user does not open and click on the link, if the track reaches Email Clicked, it does not exclude the case of bot clicks.

Please refer to the solution to such cases in the following issue.
