Box class issues

Hi Experts,

It appear that the box does not work like it used to in previous versions & the idea to make it work has been declined in idea website

1.Ax2012 box from docs.microsoft.

2. Microsoft idea on making box work with \n.

Considering above issues how do i make my simple yesno dialog box work so as to ensure

1.The box has a title ( Surprised to see title is not showing up even though i used the code from link 1 above , if that is the case shouldn't this be a BUG?).

2. The text in the box adheres to \n for new lines

Another thing i thought is that may be D365 is forcing devs to use sysoperation for diaog and have simple yes/no from sys ops ,if your suggestion is same then please share x++ code example on how to achieve this.

Thanks

Mav

The Box class is intended for very simple dialogs. If you need something more complex, use the Dialog class.

If you want just a dialog, don't use SysOperation framework. But it usually makes sense to use this framework, because you want to execute a process based on the input from the dialog.

The fact that the title isn't shown may be a bug.

By the way, I've changed the title from "D365 box issues".

Well i am intending to use it for a very simple dialog which would present user with 2 options yes & no.

Is there any bug hunting reward ? :-).

    Thanks

    Hi Mav,

I can't find quickly documentation about a deprecated title or bottom text. However, it might be intended as per design. You can find out the answer by creating a ticket for Microsoft Support.

If it has been deprecated, the reason for having the additional parameters available might be there for code upgrade. I only wonder why I don't get a warning that the title is not used.
