Hi I have a custom workflow, after I hit "Submit" button, I see the Workflow status changed to "Submitted" but the button under "Workflow" drop down still only showing "Submit"m while out of box workflow will show the following buttons "Recall" and "View history".
I can see my approval workflow element showing up in WorkflowTrackingTable so I guess it did get submitted. My question is why the Workflow button list didn't get updated, what am I missing here??

Is the Microsoft Dynamics Batch service running and is the Workflow batch group selected under the server in Server configuration?
Yes, all checked. My main problem is in the same VM, the out of box workflow would show "Recall" and "View history" buttons after workflow is submitted while the custom workflow wouldn't, it still show "Submit" button.
Could you please let me know about teh following -
1. Are you updating the Workflowstatus field in the table after submitting?
2. Do you have a canSubmitToWorkflow method on the table or on the form?
Looks like your workflowStatus field is not getting updated with submit status. Can you check the value of the field you have added in your table ? Did you add updateWorkflowStatus method ?
That's something I couldn't figure out. I have that method, and the record has been updated to "Submitted" but the Workflow menu button still showing "Submit".
Can you check on the Workflow history form if the workflow instance is still pending or got stuck in an error state?
Can you check what your cansubmittoworkflow method is returning In this case ? It must be returning true which it shouldn't.
Could you please share the "canSubmitToWorkflow" method you have in place?
Yes, you are exactly right. I updated canSubmitToWorkflow and it's working now.
