Form submission from Marketing Form trigger change on fields, even though it is no change.

Posted on by 85
I have a workflow that trigger when firstname, lastname, email and phone is change on contact forms. This workflow works perfect, but recently we discovered that this workflow was triggered EVERY TIME a form submission was done (matching rule relate submission to existing contact - therefore NO new or NO change on trigger fields).

In log I see that for every FORM submission SYSTEM sends and update to the field /timestamp of form submission/, at the same time my workflow trigger.

I have reasons to believe that this happend after a recent update from Microsoft.

Any suggestion to how I can work around this?

    Hi Partner,
If it worked before but suddenly doesn't, it's reasonably suspected to be due to a version update.
You can get confirmation by opening a ticket with the Microsoft support team.

No, timestamp of form submission is not a trigger field.

    Hi Partner,
    “timestamp of form submission” field?
Are you using outbound marketing form?
Could you share screenshots about all?
--trigger fields in workflow, audit history of contact...
As you mentioned, the “timestamp of form submission” field is not trigger field of the workflow, but it's change trigger the workflow?

I hope you can mark my answer verified if it is helpful! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
    Regards,
    Leah
