Show Timeline which contains all Activities

Dear Community,

I added the Timeline control to our main Dashboard. This works fine and as expected. I can see my Activities in the timeline. However, I want to be able to see all Activities in the Timeline. Is there any way to do that, or is the timeline control limited to showing only my activities?

Thank you and best regards

I have the same question (0)

The activities shown are those that you have Read access to.

I don't think it a timeline setting is the issue here, but rather that you do not have read access permissions to activities where you are not the owner.

For system administrator it should e.g. show all activities.

    Thank you for your response.

I have the System Administrator role and am able to see all Activites (e.g. advanced find), but still the Timeline control on the Dashboard only shows activities related to myself. Is there a filter which might be limiting this control to the current user?

These are the only available settings to the timeline:

You can only filter out specific activities, but there is no way to filter by ownership.

But maybe this is the case for you.

Just double-click the Timeline in the Form customizations to get to that menu.

Thank you. No - I don't want to filter specific activities. As I said, the Timeline control in the dashboard shows only Activities related to my user, and no activities of other users (e.g. tracked mails). I am able to see those other activities when I use the advanced find functionality, but they are not displayed in the timeline control.

Can you confirm, that the Timeline Control must show all activities? If that's the case I'll contact Microsoft support.

Afaik it should show all activities & at least for us it does.

Maybe someone else knows what the issue might be.

Good luck with the MS support I guess :/

Also totally unrelated, are you interested in exchanging experiences with Dynamics? I am always interested in finding out what others think of the platform / how you are using it.

We could even do a face-to-face meeting :)

Schöne Grüße aus München an München ;)

    Hi there,

I came across the same problem. Has a solution been found in the meantime or has the MS Support commented on it?

    Thanks a lot

Dann ebenfalls mal Grüße nach München, diesmal aus Berlin :D
