Batch job not starting in Dynamics 365

Hi All, 

I have configured a "recurring data job" in D365 for operations. I have set the processing recurrence correctly. But the messages in the queue are not getting processed. It remains in "Queued" state forever. I checked the batch job which is automatically created to import the data using the configured data job. It remains in waiting status and not executing. The batch service in the developer environment ( under services.msc) is started. Could you please let me know the possible reasons, why the batch job is not executing?

    Hello Sreekanth_M,

    Make sure that you have the correct batch server identified as a batch server in the server configuration. If you have multiple AOS instances running on one server and the wrong instance is selected as the batch server, all the jobs will be setting in a waiting status. Also check your batch groups and make sure the batch server is selected.

    I had the same problem and I wasted 2 hours setting up and looking for a solution before figuring out that the following service was not running on my development environment: 

    DynamicsAxBatch
    Microsoft Dynamics 365 Unified Operations: Batch Management Service

    I hope it help someone else.
