Send E-Mail with secondary E-Mail Adress of User in activity

Hello together,

Can I make it possible to send an email activity with the second email adress as sender, saved in the Systemuser Settings instead of the primary emailadress of the user?

I've found out in the entity data of the email activity that there is a stringColumn called sender thats filled with the emailadress of the Systemuser that was choosen in the email formular.
Does it makes sense to manipulate it for example with a plugin or a synchronous workflow and change the value of it to the secondary Email Adress? Or will it not work?  (Im not very deep into the email send/recieve knowledge and dont know what happens after you click send)

One note at the end, it does not necessary have to be the secondary email field of the systemuser,
It would be enough if I was able to change  the email  from mcdauly@x.com to mcdauly@y.com
Would that be possible?

If anything is not understandable pls ask.

thanks for reading and helping

    Hi,

I have analyzed and tested for your question. I'm afraid that's very difficult to achieve.
If you choose to use synchronous workflow is only able to select the record after it has been created, then this is a disadvantage.

Secondly it is not possible to use dynamic fields, then it is not possible to dynamically select the current user, so this method cannot be implemented.

Then I used JavaScript to customize the form's onload event to automatically match to the current user's second email address when an email is to be sent.
Although it basically does what you want, it still has a big drawback, when you open any email, the email will be changed to the second email address by default.

You can refer to this code, but you have to consider the disadvantages, just for your reference.
