Using non-interactive account for D365 solution deployment

Posted on by 125

Hi,

We have an non-interactive account  (NIA) in D365 and we use this account specifically for run some Cloud Flows.

The NIA has some roles assigned to it so it has the necessary permissions to complete Actions in the Cloud Flow.

Actions that it might do encompasses read, update, create and delete.

Question.

Can a NIA be used as owners of new components?

Can it be used for deploying solutions via a DevOps Pipeline?

A lot of our new and customized components are owned by those that created the components and they no longer work for us.

I am thinking of changing the ownership of those components to NIA.

Will this work and are there potential issues changing the ownership to the NIA?

Thanks
